Until 5th December there will be no public Masses celebrated in the parish. Funerals are the only exception and limited to 30 family and friends. Mass will continue to be live-streamed on our live page and our Facebook page.
It is with great joy then, that Mass with a congregation present will resume at Sacred Heart Church from the weekend of Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December. Mass will continue to be live-streamed on our live page and our Facebook page. Mass will once again be available on Wednesday mornings at 10:00am from 9th December, followed by praying the Rosary. The church will close at 11:30.
Attendance needs to be booked and this can be done by email via hello@sacredhearthook.org or by phone to Jan on 07719012955. More information is on page 3 of the newsletter and on our attending Mass page.
Please visit the Coronavirus page and attending Mass page for any last minute change.

This year there is a particular need for coats or jackets for teenage males. However any donations will be gratefully received. I am the point of contact in Basingstoke. Items can be received between 16th November Please contact me on any of the following:

Caritas Homes Without Borders for Refugees — November 2020 Update
|
Recently, the Home Office have advised that inbound flights, bringing refugees to
the UK, are to resume in early 2021. This is very welcome news, as the preparatory work of Community
Sponsor groups such as ours, have been on hold due to Covid:19 which has prevented refugees being allowed to
enter the UK. The decision by the Government, under the existing resettlement scheme, will allow 232
refugees to enter the UK although it is only those groups who have secured a property, who will be welcoming these refugees. Groups, such as ours, who have not
secured a property yet, still do not have a date for when they will welcome a family to resettle. Hopefully, it
won’t be too long before we can start the search in earnest for a property that will help transform the lives of a suffering refugee family beyond their imagination.
Please continue to pray for the success our project.

Throughout the month of November we will be praying for all those it pleased the Lord to call to Himself. A box for the request of prayers will be placed in front of the altar. Please email the names of your loved ones to hello@sacredhearthook.org. If you would prefer to call in via the phone please leave a message with the name of your loved ones, and for those who would rather walk in and leave the names in the box, you are welcome to do so. But please respect the social distancing guidelines in place and please do not include any cash.
The Church is open on Wednesday mornings 10am – 12 noon. |

Pray for Me
|
Note: The webpage on the Portsmouth Diocese has sadly been removed but you can still contact the Intercessor team directly. Details on our website.
Through the Called & Gifted process run by our Portsmouth Diocese, a growing number of people (currently over 60) have been able to discern that they have the charism of Intercessory Prayer.
The intercessions could include prayers for our Diocese, Sacred Heart Church and all the people in it, Fr Paul or maybe something or someone close to you? Perhaps something you’re concerned about relating to yourself, a family member or friend?
If you wish the intercessors to pray for you, please email the team.
More details on our website.
