The 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time

A very warm welcome to you!

This week’s Gospel is from Matthew 22: 1-14.

During Jesus’ ministry, if people (normally in authority or positions of power) questioned or challenged Jesus, He would often respond to their challenges with another parable perhaps stronger and more challenging than the last…We hear one such parable this week!

We will also be live streaming Mass this Sunday (11th October) at 10am from The Sacred Heart Church.  This will be followed by the streaming of the Children's Liturgy at 11:30am.

Guess The Parishioner

In the past few months the Diocesan e-news has been printing baby pictures of our Priests and Deacons. To expand on our photos on the chairs, we thought we would have a go at guessing the baby. If you can guess who this is please email your answer to hello@sacredhearthook.org and also send us a baby picture so that the parish can guess who you are.

Note: The webpage on the Portsmouth Diocese has sadly been removed but you can still contact the Intercessor team directly. Details on our website.

Through the Called & Gifted process run by our Portsmouth Diocese, a growing number of people (currently over 60) have been able to discern that they have the charism of Intercessory Prayer. The intercessions could include prayers for our Diocese, Sacred Heart Church and all the people in it, Fr Paul or maybe something or someone close to you? Perhaps something you’re concerned about relating to yourself, a family member or friend? If you wish the intercessors to pray for you, please email the team.
