The sun shone on the families fo our First Holy Communion children on the afternoon of Saturday 10th October at Sacred Heart Hook.
We had waited since May for this joyous occasion and although small in numbers due to restrictions the children were both excited and a little nervous.
Father Paul gave a lovely moving homily based on the gospel of Zachaius in which he said we must all feel as joyous as Zachaius when the Lord said I want to come to your home. The Lord is asking us to invite him into our homes and our hearts.
Thankfully we were able to live stream the mass which meant those members of the families unable to be with us were able to watch the service and be with us virtually as well as spiritually and so share this beautiful celebration of our parish.
